[ROOT] Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Root Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Rooting your device will voids its warranty, Therefore Root at your own risk!!
Requirements:
Before we move on there are certain guidelines and requirements you need to do and understand in order to safely and successfully get root access. So here they are:
  • Sony Xperia Z1 Compact running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
  • Bootloader must be UnlockedLearn Here
  • Install USB drivers on your PC. (Download Here)
  • Rooted Kernel (Download Link)
  • Fastboot/adb drivers (Download Here)
  • Before you proceed for the rooting process, just make sure that you’ve got good enough battery charge on your device.

How to Flash ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery on Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Step 1: First of all download the required files and place it on your desktop.
  • Rooted Kernel image file (Z1c_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-114_v01.img) rename it to recovery.img
  • Extract the Fastboot drivers folder on your desktop.
  • SuperSU zip package. (This file will be needed in the 2nd part of the tutorial)
Step 2: Move the recovery.img file to the fastboot drivers folder.
Step 3: Connect your phone to PC via the USB cable.
Step 4: Open the fastboot drivers folder, Hold the Shift Key and Right Clickwithin the folder and select the option Open command window here”.
Step 5: Make sure your phone is connect to the PC, and type the following command to installCWM recovery on Xperia Z1 Compact using the adb command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Step 6: Once it is flushed successfully, Disconnect your phone and Reboot it.
So far you’ve just completed first part, now head over to the below section, where we’ll learn how to flash SuperSU using CWM Recovery, which will ultimately grant root permission on your phone. So let’s move on.

How to Root Sony Xperia Z1 Compact Running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Firmware

Step 1: First transfer the SuperSU zip package to your Micro SD card.
Step 2: Once transferred, Reboot your Sony Xperia Z1 Compact into Recovery Mode:
  • Power-off your phone
  • Hit the Power On button, and start hitting the Volume Up or Down button when you see the LED light turns Pink.
  • Further select the Recovery option.
Step 3: Use the Volume Up/Down to navigate between the options and Power button to select any option.
Step 4: After booting into Recovery, Choose Install zip>> Choose zip from sdcard and browse the storage directory where you’ve placed the SuperSU zip and Confirm to flash.
Step 5: After flashing the SuperSU, navigate back to the main recovery menu and select the option, “Reboot system now” to reboot your phone.
That’s it!! Congratulations! You’ve successfully rooted Sony Xperia Z1
