This root tutorial is specifically for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.o, there 3 different model number of GalaxyNote 8, which are (GT-N5100GT-N5110 and GT-N5120), i am telling you this because every model number requires a specific file run the rooting process successfully and without any error. Download the wrong file may brick your device, there i would recommend you to download the correct root file for your device model. To check your device model on Galaxy Note 8, go to Settings App, then scroll down to the About Device, where you will find the exact device model no. STEP 1. To get started, extract/unzip the download files in a single folder on your desktop.
STEP 2. Make sure your device is not connected to PC, if it is then disconnect it.
STEP 3. Now Launch the Odin3.exe Application, to start Rooting process for your Galaxy Note 8.
STEP 4. Now Switch off your device and put it into download mode by holding the Volume down+Home+Power Button on your device. It may ask you further to confirm the download mode, just hit the Volume Up button.
STEP 5. Now you need to connect your device to PC, and make sure, Odin recognizes your device.
STEP 6. Now don’t change the settings in the Odin application menu and make sure that the Repartition option is not checked.

Pre-Requisites
  • Install USB drivers for Nexus 7, to transfer files between Android device and computer.
  • Enable USB debugging mode on tablet to connect Android device with computer and use Android SDK [Press Menu > Settings > Applications. From there navigate and click on Development and check USB Debugging Mode]  
  • As the tutorial might wipe out all data, create a backup. If the device has a custom recovery like CWM/TWRP then backup data using recovery. 
  • The Nexus 7 should have above 80% battery charge.  
  • The device should be factory unlocked and not locked to a particular carrier. 
  • The CF-Auto-Root file works only with Nexus 7 Wi-Fi/3G. Applying this to an incorrect variant is likely to brick the device. Therefore, verify model number of Nexus device by navigating to Settings > About tablet
  • Rooting the device will void manufacturer warranty. Users can reclaim the warranty back by unrooting the device later.  
Note: If device has not been unlocked before then this procedure is likely to wipe out all data. 
Steps to Root Nexus 7 Wi-Fi/3G on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with CF-Auto-Root
Step-1: Download and install Android SDK from Android Developer site. The Android SDK package includes necessary drivers for connecting device to the computer, which is necessary for the rooting process
Step-2: Download CF-Auto-Root file for the Nexus 7 to the computer
Step-3: Extract downloaded CF-Auto-Root package using winrar/7zip/winzip or any other extracting tool
Step-4: Switch off Nexus 7
Step-5: Boot Nexus tablet into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holdingVolume UpVolume Down and Power buttons
Step-6: Connect Nexus 7 to computer using USB cable. Wait till Windows finishes installing drivers  
Step-7: Head over to folder which contains the extracted CF-Auto-Root files and then run following commands
  • Windows users: Run root-windows.bat
  • Linux users: chmod +x root-mac.sh
  • Run root-linux.sh
  • Mac OS X users: chmod +x root-mac.sh
  • Run root-mac.sh
Step-8: Follow on-screen instructions to root tablet. Once rooting process is complet, tablet will boot into normal mode. Users may now safely disconnect the device from the computer

The developer has shared the ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery file and an insecure kernel for the LTE version of the Galaxy S4 Mini, bearing model number GT-I9195. Additionally, the developer has released an easy root method for the handset. Installing the two files will help users to obtain root and install CWM recovery on the S4 Mini. 
Galaxy S4 Mini users who wish to root their devices running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and install CWM recovery may follow our step-by-step guide.

Pre-requisites

Steps to root Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195 and install CWM recovery
Step-1: Download kernel.tar file for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini to the computer. Extract the downloaded zip to get a file with .tar.md5 extension   
File name: GT-I9195_MF5_870901_kernel.tar.zip [6.46MB]  
Step-2: Download ClockworkMod recovery file. Extract the downloaded recovery file to obtain a .tar.md5 file  
Step-3: Download Odin v3.07. Extract the Odin zip to get Odin3 v3.07.exefile with few other files
Step-4: Turn off the Galaxy S4 Mini and wait for about five to six seconds for the vibration to confirm complete power off
Step-5: Boot the phone into Download Mode by pressing and holding Home,Volume Down and Power buttons together until the screen of the device flashes. Then press the Volume Up button to continue to enter Download Mode  
Step-6: Run Odin3 v3.07.exe on the computer   
Step-7: Connect the phone to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait for some time until Odin detects the device. When the phone is connected successfully, an Added message will appear under Odin message box. Additionally, the ID: COM box in Odin will turn blue with the COM port number, indicating successful connection
Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try the USB port at the back of the computer. If Odin still fails to recognise the device, then reinstall USB driver.   
Step-8: Click the PDA button and select GT-I9195_MF5_870901_kernel.tar.md5 file which was extracted earlier from the downloaded kernel zip 
Step-9: In Odin, ensure that the F.Reset Time checkbox is unchecked
Step-10: Click the Start button in Odin to begin the installation. When the installation process is completed, the device will reboot automatically  
Step-11: Once the device boots up successfully, switch it off  
Step-12: Place the phone again in Download Mode by placing and holdingHomeVolume Down and Power buttons together   
Step-13: Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable while the phone is in Download Mode   
Step-14: Run Odin on the computer  
Step-15: In Odin, click the PDA button and select recover-clockwork-6.0.3.3-serranoltexx.tar.md5 
Step-16: When everything is set, hit the Start button in Odin. The installation process should begin now and would take a few minutes to complete
Step-17: Once the installation process is completed, the phone will reboot automatically
Step-18: After the device boots up switch off the phone
Step-19: Press and hold HomeVolume Up and Power buttons together. The device will enter recovery. When you exit recovery, it will ask if you want to root the device. Select Yes
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini running on Android 4.2.2 should now be rooted successfully with CWM recovery installed on the device. Users can download Superuser app from Google Play Store.
