ROOT Samsung Galaxy S Running XXJVR Gingerbread
Instruction to root Samsung Galaxy S Running XXJVR Gingerbread
- Download ODIN for Galaxy S
- Download rooting file from here
- After extracting rooting archive you will get “CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVR-v4.1-CWM3RFS.tar” , dont extract this .tar file further and save on easy to find place like desktop
- Switch off your phone and wait a while to complete switch off
- Now boot it in download mode via pressing and holding VOLUME DOWN and MIDDLE KEY and while holding both press and holdPOWER KEY until it boots in download mode
- Now you can run ODIN downloaded in first step, right click on “I9003_Odin3 v1.82.exe” and run it as administrator
- Make sure Samsung KIES , antivirus and firewall in computer are disabled
- Now you can connect your phone to pc using usb cable
- Just after connecting you will see first box from left will turn yellow and it shows “added!” in odin’s message box. This indicates that phone connected successfully
- If you are unable to connect phone to pc ,try once again . dont proceed without 9 step
- Go to ODIN and click on PDA tab choose “CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVR-v4.1-CWM3RFS.tar”
- Make sure Re-Partition check box is un-ticked. and Leave Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes ticked.
- Double check all things you have done in previous steps , because now we are going to start flashing file and if something is wrong then you will have a nice brick
- Hit the START button on odin
- Now it will start rooting process , please wait several seconds . during this process don’t disconnect your phone & don’t close ODIN otherwise it will brick your phone.
- After rooting completes your phone will restart automatically
- Congratulation your Galaxy S rooted successfully and now you can disconnect your phone
